憧れのシカゴ・チェス・スタジオでの録音6曲（1～4, 6, 7, 11）を含む米国でのセカンド・アルバム。チェス・スタジオで録音された曲は、まず英国で EP『Five By Five』として5曲がリリースされ、その拡大版として最新シングルの「It’s All over Now」とロンドン録音の6曲を加えてリリースされたのが本アルバムとなります。アルバム・タイトルは12曲を5人で演奏したという意味からつけられました。
